I actually bought these ones with my 5G 60 gb ipod video, i chose them because they were the plainest ones and also the cheaper ones having in count that usually thats the prize of just one case. My white ipod got stolen (sic) with the reddish case… (its transparent red alot clearer than the photograph)and then my brother bought a 30gb ipod video and used the transparent dark one with a piece of bubbles plastic in the back, worked nice for him whos too cheap to buy his own case… and finally my mom got my a 5.5g 80gb ipod video 
and now im using the clear transparent one. My brother actually is very mean with tecnology and even so…the ipod is in perfect state and the case has minimum scratches…mine…is in perfect conditions plus 2 microscratches in the back (im more careful but i still use it in jacket pockets and the back of my backpack). It resist major fallings too (i hadnt tried so the biggest fall it had to suffer was from second to first floor 4mts app).
The cons: it tends to catch mini particles such as pieces of tobacco leaves and very little of dust particles, this may cause micro local scratches (ok im neurotic) this happens cause of the headphone and hold holes.
Another con is that has another hole for the down plugger that just stays unprotected and the round control thingy also stays unprotected but as i had left the original protective film that has a little piece to cover the inferior plug too wasnt a problem for me.

This case is GREAT; the iPod is completely encased in hard plastic, including the screen, which was my major concern. The only part exposed is the click wheel. The first time you put it on, it’s EXTREMELY hard to take it off. You’ll have to get a nickel or penny (or your fingernail if they’re strong enough) and pry it apart…you’ll want to do this a few times to make it a little easier to open because the iPod gets rather dusty being in the case. I was really surprised at the quality of the case, metal belt clip and the little kick stand. If you value your iPod and/or are a little clumsy (already dropped it twice onto concrete from waist level–no damage to either the iPod or the case), then get this case–it’s definitely worth the price!

The case is protecting the IPod well so far. The band on the arm is a little awkward while swimming but you get use to it; keep it close to the elbow to avoid a rash under the arm. The biggest downside to the whole system is the earplugs (which you buy separately). It is hard to keep those in my ears without leakage of water into the ear. Someone needs to adapt the regular flanged and thick rubber (not the thin ones) earplugs one uses just for swimming for use with earphones. They would fit properly; none of the waterproof earphone sets I’ve tried are really comfortable or fit the ear properly for swimming!

I am so glad I was able to find another one of these. About a year ago I bought one locally, it broke and I really wanted to find another one. I love that its clear since I just purchased a pretty skin for my iPod and didn’t want to cover it up.
Its easy to attach and easy to remove. Works very well.

This is my second Otterbox. First was for a 60G, It worked perfectly. Very water/dust resistant, decent feel on the touchwheel.This new box is for a 120G and the only minor disappointment is that instead of being made to fit that Ipod specifically, it is basically the same box which fit the 60G with the addition of a foam spacer. This means there is a little more play and the result is that the touch on the wheel is a lot less sensitive. That said, the construction is great and protection is too.

I tried about two other more expensive cases and even one from the Apple Store in NYC that worked well but they made the Itouch “bulky” feeling, after all the Itouch is thin who wants a case that makes it 2 times bigger than it really is. The case somehow lets some dust get into the screen area but every so often I just open it up and dust it off with some Air Spray and it’s okay again. It is really a good case at a good price and makes the Itouch thin and light as it was meant to be. The unit itself is unharmed and in perfect condition.

The case does what it is supposed to do. It does not add much weight or thickness to the ipod nano. It is easy to put on and take off. I like that you can take the belt clip off or leave it on. I felt like the cover over the click wheel was not going to stay, but so far so good.
