NIKE + IPOD SPORT KIT-USA

I love the NIke Plus…it doesn’t give exact miles (it’s a little off) but it was a great investment. It’s nice to know when you are getting close to being done and it will talk to you and let ya know how far you have gone and how much further you have to go!!

Feature

  • What’s in the Box – Wireless sensor for Nike+ shoes, Wireless receiver for iPod nano, Printed documentation
  • Insert the wireless sensor inside the custom, built-in pocket beneath the insole of your Nike+ shoe, then plug the receiver into the Dock connector on your iPod nano. The iPod touch (2nd generation) and iPhone 3GS includes built-in support for the system – no receiver necessary.
  • Now start your workout. As your run or walk, the sensor sends information to your device, tracking your time, distance, pace, and calories burned. If you choose, real-time, spoken feedback can even alert you to milestones throughout your workout.
  • Back at your computer, sync your iPod or iPhone 3GS to transfer your workout data to iTunes and Nike website. There, you can evaluate your performance history, set goals, and even challenge other runners to a virtual race.
  • Requirements – iPod nano, iPod touch (2nd generation), or iPhone 3GS, Nike+ shoes, iTunes 9.0 or later (available via free download), A Mac with a USB 2.0 port and Mac OS X version 10.3.9 or later; or a PC with a USB 2.0 port and Windows 2000 (SP4) or XP Home or Professional (SP2), Internet access and a free Nike account

Apple iPod Universal Dock Adapter 3-pack for iPod touch (2nd generation)

I have several older iPod accessories such as the older version of the JBL On Stage Micro Portable Speaker Dock for iPod (Black) and the Belkin Dock with USB Wall Charger for iPod. I am now able to use these older items with my iPod Touch 2nd Generation after purchasing the Apple iPod Universal Dock Adapter 3-pack for iPod touch (2nd generation). This is not a bad price considering you get 3 of them. I checked other websites and Amazon was the cheapest I found and the supplier, J&R Music and Computer World offers free shipping.

Feature

  • Three dock adapters for iPod touch (2nd generation)

Overview

These dock adapters enable your iPod touch (2nd generation) to connect to the Apple Universal Dock and other products that use the Universal Dock system. Simply insert an iPod touch dock adapter into the Universal Dock, then plug in your iPod touch. When you want to connect another iPod or an iPhone to the Universal Dock, pop out the iPod touch dock adapter and insert a different one.

Apple iPod 30 GB Photo White M9829LL/A (4th Generation) OLD MODEL

Its true, the 4th generation 30 gig Apple Ipod is a very good product. Is it great? Well, maybe not. But its not that this 4G model does not have every thing that some body wants out of an MP3 player, including video, the ability to hold and show pictures (about 25,000 of them), music (7,500 songs) and a pretty good battery life when listening to music of at least 10-15 hours per charge. When writing a review of any Ipod I believe that you must mention Apple’s Itunes software, which make is very easy to buy and download music to your Ipod, that is why it is the industry leader this in regard. Also, the body of the Ipod is very slim, the menu of the device is very easy to figure out even if you have never used one before. Within minutes of turning it on you will be able to understand how to download music, create play lists and arrange your music just the way that you want it. Whether you like the Apple Ipod or not as an electronic device you have to give Apple credit for the fact that it is very easy to use, all the way around.

So, what’s wrong with the Ipod? Well, the fact that the battery life on this particular model is very limited when you are watching video on it, about two hours. Also, while the screen of the 4G Ipod is very crisp and clean, it is just hard to view. But then again, a small MP3 player like the Ipod is naturally going to have a small screen, there is really nothing you can do about that, it does though strain your eyes to view the screen for long periods of time. Also, the screen does scratch very, very, very easily. Any thing will do it and I think that it is real down side to this product, it should have made so that any body could be able to carry it in their pocket without worrying about whether the screen is going to scratch or not. That would resemble to me at least that it is a product that is made to last, instead of one that is made to last until next Ipod comes out so that maybe you have to buy another one. I would really recommend that you purchase a protective case for any Ipod that you buy because they all seem to scratch pretty easy.

Having been a fan of Apple products throughout the years I would say that this product is worth a four out of five. I wish that all Ipod came with a home docking station instead of just the USB cable to charge and download music. I think they sell those docks for 20 bucks, but they make them for only 5 in China and it would great if they included that in the package. The sound quality of the Ipod is very good, and it should be for a couple of hundred bucks but if Apple doesn’t make some changes to the 6G Ipod which is probably due out right before Christmas 2006 I believe that other players could offer some resistance to Apple’s market share. This includes adding wi-fi, maybe a built in satellite radio function, perhaps different colors for the Ipod, touch face design, maybe a wide screen, it has to be some thing to set the Ipod a part from every other MP3 player out there. All coupled with at least 20 hour battery life with music and 10 hour battery life with video, I think that is one thing that every body can agree on.

Feature

  • 30 GB model holds up to 7,500 songs; supports AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 (32 to 320 Kbps)
  • Holds 25,000 photos and displays them on a 2-inch diagonal 65,536-color LCD screen with LED backlight
  • Up to 15 hours battery life when fully charged (which typically takes 5 hours)
  • Compatible with Mac OS X v10.2.8 or v10.3.4 or later; or Windows 2000

Apple iPod Lanyard Headphones for iPod nano 1G

With Apple’s iPod being the dominant player in the mp3 market, there is a panoply of Apple and third-party products to aid its operation. While the sound quality of the included iPod headphones has always been sufficient for my needs, they did not provide optimal placement of the player. Spending most of my mp3 listening time using free weights in the gym, I needed a secure means of carrying my iPod that wouldn’t interfere with arm movements. The lanyard was the perfect choice. After hundreds of hours of use with the first and second generation lanyards, I have been rather pleased with both their sound quality and durability.

Given my experiences with other headphones and mp3 players, however, I would suggest two enhancements. First, there should be a means of detaching the iPod mechanically while the headphone jack is still connected. This would require two attachment points and some slack in the audio cable. I previously owned an inexpensive, nameless mp3 player acquired on eBay that has this arrangement. While less durable than iPod-lanyard combo, it offered much greater flexibility. With Apple’s lanyard, the iPod placement becomes a hassle during exercises where a straight bar is brought down on the chest, such as bench pressing. With the previous arrangement, I could simply detach the mechanical cable and place the mp3 player in my pocket while still listening to my favorite songs.

Secondly, given my experience with the Koss Spark Plug earphones (see review), I would have preferred better sound isolation. The lanyard headphones do little to stop ambient noise, which is an issue in health clubs. In addition, the lanyard headphones just don’t have the deep bass of the Koss product.

Having owned both first and second generation lanyards, I can’t determine any difference between their construction or sound quality. In both cases, I paid roughly fifty dollars, which seems a bit exorbitant. However, this is to be expected with most brand-name iPod accessories. If you use your iPod while working out, cycling or walking as much as I do, you are certain to get your money’s worth nonetheless.

Pros
Great for use during exercise
Durable

Cons
No non-lanyard mode
Difficult to use during bench press due to bar impact
Little sound isolation
Overpriced

Feature

  • Compatibility: iPod nano 1G
  • Plug headphones into the dock connector, put it around your neck and you’re off
  • Ingenious built-in earbuds conquer clutter by integrating the audio signal with the lanyard itself
  • Get a streamlined look without all the extra wire
  • So light that it can hang just about anywhere

Overview

Your iPod nano is so small, it can fit just about anywhere. And it’s so light, it can hang just about anywhere, too – including around your neck. All you need is the iPod nano Lanyard Headphones.Just plug the lanyard into the dock connector, put it around your neck and you’re off. Its ingenious built-in earbuds conquer clutter by integrating the audio signal with the lanyard itself, so you get a streamlined look without all the extra wire. When you want to change songs or adjust volume, just look down: iPod nano is right there, always at the ready.

Apple iPod nano 4 GB Silver (3rd Generation) OLD MODEL

I got an Ipod in December 2007 after my old Zen Neon mp3 player sadly broke.
Just a 4Gig Ipod is fine by me. This is a great choice of Mp3 player for listening to music anywhere you want! The sound quality is great and it’s easy to use Itunes to put your songs on to your Ipod.

Appearance – 5/5 – sleak & very nice, also easy to handle and soft on the hands.
Ease of Use – 5/5 – It’s simple to press & play songs and to choose your other features it’s basically a big bright looking screen with a button and scroll wheel to scroll through your songs.
Battery Life – 3/5 – Battery Life doesn’t last very long if you’re using your Ipod with the brightness setting on high, but if you have the brightness setting on the lowest setting the battery power will last a long time [The brightness affects your battery life, if you have it on and charge it all night the Ipod runs out of battery within 45 minutes!]
Capacity – 5/5 – 4Gigabytes isn’t bad if you want to use your Ipod as a music player.
Videos & other stuff will take up more space. I just like my Ipod as a music player.
Display – 5/5 – The Ipod Nano is big enough to see your song information & stuff on the screen
Customer Support – 5/5 – Customer support on the Apple website is very useful you can either contact them directly or use the forums, I don’t suggest using the forums since no one replies but it’s better to contact Apple Support directly on their email they are very friendly & they reply quickly.
Features – 5/5 – The Ipod has a wide range of features you don’t just have to put music on it you can also put videos on it & watch movies on it, play games on it and more!
Portabillity – 5/5 – the best thing about the Ipod is the portabillity, you can take this ipod wherever you go!
Good Price – 5/5 – The Ipod is reasonably priced and it’s a good affordable Media Player. I recommend this item!

It’s the small iPod with one very big idea: Video. Now the world’s most popular music player lets you enjoy TV shows, movies, video podcasts, and more. The larger, brighter display means amazing picture quality. In five eye-catching colors, iPod nano is stunning all around.

Apple iPod mini Dock

This is well designed product that fits the iPod mini perfectly, and allows it stand upright so it doesn’t get banged around etc. while syncing or charging.

I bought two – one is attached to my stereo system and used as a standalone charger (and for playing music through the stereo), the second sits next to my Palm cradle and attaches to my USB 2.0 hub for syncing my iPod.

No gripes whatsoever, it is a very good looking product. I initially bought a third party cheaper product, the opening for the iPod is too big (though it works), it was clearlu designed to be used for the larger iPods – and it has an annoying LED that can’t be turned off. Not very nice to have in a room where people sleep.

It also looks cheap. The Apple iPod mini dock looks very classy, not an eyesore in the slightest.

For the reviewer who said:

Here’s the joke, the dock is absolutely nothing more than a stand for your Mini. It comes with no cabling and it does not come with an AC adapter (that is another !) Apple makes sure that you can’t get any idea of what you are buying until after you have purchased it and broken open the packaging.

My iPod mini came with an AC adapter and a FireWire cable that attaches to the adapter. They plug right into the dock, nothing else needed to make the dock a standalone charger. If you want to use FireWire to connect to your mac/pc – then you will need to buy a second firewire cable. Me? I just use the USB2 cable that came with my mini for syncing.

Feature

  • Optional FireWire and USB 2.0 dock for iPod mini
  • USB 2.0 connection is for Windows PCs only
  • Synch in a simple, one-step operation
  • Includes a stereo line out, so you can connect it to powered speakers
  • Compatibility: iPod mini

Overview

The optional FireWire and USB 2.0 dock makes charging and synching a simple, one-step operation. There’s even an audio line out port for connecting to powered speakers or a home stereo.

Apple iPod classic 120 GB Black (6th Generation) [Previous Model]

Just received a Refurbished iPod Classic 120G.

Thank you Apple and FedEx for getting it to me all the way from China in a couple of business days in time for Christmas !

As far as the few negative one star reviews here about poor sound reproduction . . . I decided, in spite of that, to take the leap and try my luck.

Comparing it to my iPhone ( which sounds great ) through Sony Professional MDR-7506 Studio Monitor head phones and through the Apple ear buds I proclaim them ( iPhone and iPod 120 ) to be so close to identical I can’t tell them apart.

I compared them using the exact same tracks of dynamic classical music including human voice, highs and pipe organ.

Any difference at all I leave up to slight difference in volume setting.

In other words : I AM TOTALLY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE !

There may have been a problem in the past. If so it seems they have taken care of it, in the refurb. or otherwise.

I am a long time Mac/Apple user. I have an iMac, a Macbook Air, a Shuffle, a Nano, an iPhone and now the iPod Classic.

Apple people if you bring a tablet to market I am there !
