This case is GREAT; the iPod is completely encased in hard plastic, including the screen, which was my major concern. The only part exposed is the click wheel. The first time you put it on, it’s EXTREMELY hard to take it off. You’ll have to get a nickel or penny (or your fingernail if they’re strong enough) and pry it apart…you’ll want to do this a few times to make it a little easier to open because the iPod gets rather dusty being in the case. I was really surprised at the quality of the case, metal belt clip and the little kick stand. If you value your iPod and/or are a little clumsy (already dropped it twice onto concrete from waist level–no damage to either the iPod or the case), then get this case–it’s definitely worth the price!

Purchased this because it was rated best on the Apple store’s site. Easy to use but directions included are sketchy at best. Includes the cord wrap for earphones but doesn’t tell you how to use it. Easy removal with a coin in a slot at the top left & right sides of the case. Would like to see a belt clip added for ease of use. Better instructions would be even better.

I purchased this case because I was going out of town and wanted something to keep my Ipod from getting scratched up in my briefcase. I wanted something small, simple, and unobtrusive. What I wasn’t expecting was that the case would do its job so well. The two halves attach very securely protecting the screen and the back while allowing access to the headphones, bottom port, and hold switch. There is no cover for the touch wheel, but other cases I’ve tried with wheel covers haven’t worked well for me.

The case comes with a detachable, adjustable stand which has rubber feet. This is great for watching movies on a plane when you set it on the tray table. The stand can be folded flat giving the case some grip when you set it down. It also comes with a detachable metal belt clip (which I have never used).

All in all, this is the best case I’ve come across. I’m not looking to take my Ipod classic to the gym, so I just want something to protect it from general wear-and-tear. I have purchased one other case and examined several friends’ cases and I haven’t found one I like better. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good, every-day case.

As I postscript, I must say that I have recently found that this case is also available with an “accessory pack.” I believe that might be the one I purchased (with the stand, etc) but since I didn’t purchase mine through Amazon, I would recommend that potential buyers read carefully before purchasing.
