Have expensive iPod adapter that worked with my Nano 4g. For whatever reason (thanks, Apple) the 5G Nano displays message it won’t work with the adapter.

This inexpensive Mini USB adapter works fine. I presume it will work with other USB gadgets, but haven’t tried yet.
